Just like that.

kite2.jpgA friend of mine shared with me his experience last weekend and I was touched by the depth of its simplicity.

He was walking down the boulevard and saw a man trying to fly a kite in the rain. He told himself that this man was attempting something that is impossible because the rain will definitely weigh the kite down. He was utterly amazed at the man’s persistence – sending his reflective soul to search for a deeper meaning.

What made the man ignore the rain’s presence? What inspired him to attempt the impossible in the first place? What strong force fueled him to go on even when all else seemed futile?

The man’s face spelled P-A-S-S-I-O-N. Passion made him ignore the rain’s presence. Passion inspired him to attempt doing the impossible. Passion fueled him to go on when all else seemed futile.

The man had a goal. He was there to fly his kite. And to fly his kite was what he must do. Can you guess what happened next?

The rain stopped. Just like that. And the kite soared. Just like that.

Amazing…

Amazing how passion can make us do something that others thought is impossible. Amazing how passion makes us ignore distractions and focus on our goal. And what’s more amazing is how God helps those who hold in their hearts a true and happy faith.
